During the tour we sail to some historical highlights;

- The sunken city 'Beulake'. This city excisted from 1360 to 1776 but was destroyed during a harsh storm.

- Belt-Schutsloot; a village almost the same as Giethoorn but more peaceful overall.

-Wanneperveen; the village that arose in the year 1284 but became really wealthy because of the peat cutting during the 16th and 17th century.

- During the WWII, a german fighter plane crashed into the canal after a succesful battle against the americans.
